Exciting Opportunity Alert!

Join the Jalandhar Eco-City Regions Internship, an exclusive 12-month program initiated by the Smart City of Jalandhar! This innovative engagement aims to empower young professionals and fresh graduates from Punjab, enabling them to actively contribute towards solving civic issues in our city.

Our goal is to equip youth with a unique chance to actively engage in research and problem-solving related to water, sanitation, greening, solid waste management, healthy spaces, and other urban challenges faced by our communities. Selected interns will gain an in-depth understanding of the ongoing city and community challenges, capturing the efforts of municipal and community organizations to foster impactful solutions and meaningful discussions. The interns will be guided by experts from Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, Jalandhar Smart City Limited, World Resources Institute, India (WRI India), and others.

To be eligible, you must:

✅ Have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in planning, architecture, engineering, media & communications or equivalent
✅ Be based in Jalandhar for the entire duration of the internship.
✅ Know English and Punjabi
✅ Possess a multi-disciplinary mindset and approach.
✅ Have a good knowledge base in the chosen topics.
✅ Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a peer group.
✅ Be comfortable working both in the field and office.
✅ Exhibit the capacity to produce and deliver outputs independently.
