Job description:

Programme Lead – Nagari Films
The Charles Correa Foundation (CCF) announces a vacancy for the position of Programme Lead – Nagari Films, based at the Foundation’s studio in Fontainhas, Goa. The Programme Lead will oversee the planning, implementation, and growth of Nagari, which uses film to foster conversations on Indian cities.

Apply by 25 August 2026 for the position opening September 2026 with the following qualifications:

Requirements:

Professional degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, Film, Design, Social Sciences, or a related discipline with at least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated experience in leading interdisciplinary teams and managing projects from conception to completion.
Strong organisational and project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with cultural institutions, NGOs, universities, filmmakers, or public programmes is desirable.
Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Google Workspace and WordPress.
Portfolio (maximum 15 pages) highlighting relevant professional work.
CV outlining educational qualifications and professional experience.
Task response: Documentary film has become an important medium for understanding Indian cities, but films alone rarely lead to sustained public engagement.

Part A
Choose three films from the Nagari archive and propose a hypothetical screening programme around a common theme. Briefly outline:
– Why did you select these films?
– The focus of the discussion.
– The intended audience.
– Suggested panellists or speakers.
– The flow of the event.
You can explore the Nagari film archive here: https://nagarifilms.org

Part B
Nagari has created an archive of films on Indian cities. How do you think these films can be used beyond the annual competition? Propose one direction for expanding Nagari as a resource for education, public engagement, or capacity building and briefly outline the key steps required to make it happen.
Writing sample (published or unpublished).
Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, implementation, and growth of Nagari’s film, education, and public engagement initiatives, including the Short Film Competition, screenings, festivals, learning programmes, and public events.
Curate and deliver programmes by developing thematic frameworks, engaging filmmakers, mentors, resource experts, practitioners, and institutional partners, and moderating public conversations where required.
Develop and manage partnerships with filmmakers, mentors, resource experts, cultural organisations, educational institutions, venue partners, NGOs, and public agencies to strengthen Nagari’s network and public programmes.
Lead Nagari’s communications and knowledge dissemination efforts, including digital platforms, website, publications, podcast, newsletters, and other public-facing content.
Oversee programme management, including budgets, timelines, documentation, financial tracking, grant reporting, archives, and monitoring and evaluation.
Contribute to fundraising through grant applications, donor engagement, partnership development, and programme reporting.
Represent Nagari and the Charles Correa Foundation at conferences, festivals, convenings, and other public forums, while contributing to the Foundation’s broader mission of advancing public discourse on architecture, urbanism, and the built environment.
Maintain programme documentation, including film archives, screening records, audience data, and institutional knowledge repositories.

Submit your applications by 11:59 pm (IST), 25 August 2026.
